youthxx Release “New Frontier”

youthxx is the solo project of songwriter and producer Steven Mudd, one half of the critically acclaimed indie-pop duo, Golden Coast. As a duo they caught ears and turned heads across the world, receiving support from the likes of Entertainment Weekly, Billboard and Huffington Post, as well as garnering millions of streams online with placements on a myriad of high impact Spotify curated playlists.

Steven has spent the better part of the last five years cutting his songwriting and production teeth on the behalf other pop and indie pop talents, in which he began to understand his personal creative vision, and now pours his passion into his own energy-filled, boundary-pushing sound. True to its name, youthxx channels all the bravado, angst and confidence of adolescence.

youthxx triumphantly stepped into the spotlight solo in October of last year with his emphatic debut Fire which carried a darker sound than projects past, walking the line between indie and electro flavours of pop, woven together with a gritty rock edge and his natural affluence for songwriting. Maintaining that same dynamism, and adding another dimension to his distinct sound, New Frontier achieves anthemic territory with an inspiring, unforgettable vocal and sharp contemporary production that mixes synthetic and organic sounds with finesse.

Sharing an insight to New Frontier, Steven shares:

“I wrote this song as a kind of anthem to my generation. There are a lot of opinions circling out there about millennials, but we’re not going anywhere and we’re the future. This song is my personal rally cry to wake up, get up and change something”
