The Bright Light Social Hour today announced a full US spring tour, kicking off March 5 in Tallahassee, FL. Tickets go on-sale todayat 10 AM local time.
The dates follow the release of their third LP, Jude Vol. I, set for release February 1, 2019 via Modern Outsider. The first single, “Lie To Me (Große Lüge),” debuted last week at #1 on the FMQB Submodern Radio Chart ahead of The Raconteurs and Broken Bells, among others.
The band will celebrate release day with a very special in-store performance and signing at Waterloo Records in their hometown of Austin at 5 PM on February 1st.
Produced by Chris Coady (Slowdive, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House) and recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, Jude Vol. I was borne out of the healing that took place after the band suffered the devastating loss of Alex O’Brien, bass player/vocalist Jackie O’Brien’s brother and the band’s manager of four years, who suffered from severe and sudden Bipolar 1 Disorder.
The spring tour dates include several stops along the festival circuit this spring, including Savannah Stopover, South By Southwest, Boise’s Treefort Music Festival, and Fort Worth, TX’s Fortress Festival.
