INTERVIEW: Maan On The Moon

Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Thank you. It’s been going very well since the release of our new single and we’re really happy that it is now available for everyone We are now doing promo between the studios.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Black Train”?

Black Train is very much our little jewel taken straight out of our secret source (Ahah). Our inspiration was to create a tension between the harmonica and the guitar which leads to a fight with the Black Train who goes through the emotional world

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

We are very sentimental, we have both had painful break-ups and that’s why we wanted to share these stories with the public through our music.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

We already released our lyric video produced by Charlotte Audrey from the UK and author of the lyric song ” Shape of You” by ED Sheeran and many others. The official video is being prepared and this is coming very soon, at the beginning of 2019.

How was the recording and writing process?

The writing process was done directly with the singer in our studio in Paris, then we finalised the record and composition between France and United States.

What role does Paris play in your music?

Paris does not really have any influence on our song. We are constantly between  Europe and United State and do not really spend that much time in Paris.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else rather than in your own

Not really. Our method and directions remains the same , we are there from A at Z, from the beginning until the end.

How Swedish House Mafia and Laidback Luke has influence your music?
Their electronic music has influenced us among many others, although our music is broader

broader and not exclusively composed of electro.

After having archived major success with your previous work – do you feel any pressure as you release a new material?

We are very proud of the international success of Gone, and we want to conquer the charts and the hearts of the public even more with our new single.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Of course! There are plenty of finalized songs and there are enough songs to make two albums haha. But more seriously the EP is already ready for 2019.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

The EP is already prepared for 2019. Stay tuned.

Any plans to hit the road?

We are going to return to the studio in Canada in order to prepare the future.

What else is happening next in Maan On The Moon’s world?

2019 will be a big year, with new and unexpected international collaborations, a world tour and festivals. We hope be invited to your country to come play our music J
