Rising underground MC Pasha – one of the most exciting acts emerging from Norway’s rapidly growing rap scene – is back with his fresh visual for “Blaze” featuring Mad Decent’s Henrik the Artist. Pasha is on a mission to revive and reshape rap-rock as we know it in Norway, and he’s doing so relentlessly. In an interview with Rhyme Junkie via Fansided, Pasha asserts that his main objective in the industry is to go international and prove his worth to those who have challenged his skillset and/or his Iranian heritage. On “Blaze” he adds: “This song was always the grand finale during the summer tour where I played 40 shows across Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, and more. The crowds engaged with the song instantly and it became the ‘mosh pit track’ since the very first time I performed it. When working the track in the studio, I recall having a chat with Henrik about it – he said it was ‘too edgy’ and that this would never make the album. Luckily I do whatever I want. The song is about going all in.” Watch the video and read the interview now, here: https://rhymejunkie.com/2018/12/18/pasha-blaze-new-video.
Ahead of “Blaze,” Pasha dropped his video for “Purple Pudding” with The Hype Magazine, which depicts Pasha’s run in with a femme fatale. Seduced, drugged, and beat up, Pasha’s faith is laid in the hands of a revenge hungry woman looking to even things out. Pasha’s first singles “Around the Area” and “Colorblind” received great feedback topping Spotify’s viral lists all over Scandinavia and was featured on The Ride Channel and YouTube tastemakers Rap City. His radio bangers “Prettyboi Bounce” and “I Don’t Speak French” became instant classics in the Nordic youth scene with multiple listings on Norway’s biggest radio stations and hype in the international blog scene.
Pasha landed in Norway at only 9 months old when his mother decided to leave Iran and move into the refugee camps. He knew he wanted to become a rapper when he was in the second grade after watching “Lose Yourself” by Eminem on MTV. His taste has since evolved tremendously, blending nostalgic 90’s vibes with quirky, playful and funky hip-hop. Featuring productions from Grammy-nominee Coucheron [Kehlani], Pasha continued to blend his attitude and 90’s flow with upbeat electronic funk. PARK. includes features from up and comers such as RebMoe, Soul Gem, Mad Decent’s Henrik The Artist and Jimi Somewhere, many who have also have been included in the artist’s explosive live act.
Pasha is signed to Toothfairy (Norway) and hopes to take his music worldwide, with expected tour dates across Europe and in the US in 2019.
