Surachai Debuts “Empress of the Starved Lung” Video via Decibel; The Locust’s Joey Karam Guests on Track

Surachai, the adept musician/producer who releases his new album, Come, Deathless, on Jan. 25 via BL_K Noise, shares the video for “Empress of the Starved Lung” via Decibel (https://www.decibelmagazine.com/2018/12/14/track-premiere-surachai-empress-of-the-starved-lung/).

“Joey is a musical hero of mine, someone that made performing with Moog’s and keyboards actually cool to me,” said Surachai of the track that includes a guest Joey Karam (The Locust/One Day As A Lion). “He’s meticulous in the way he writes and whatever material I threw at him, he would write every nuance and detail. I’m excited that he’s got a new project called Fahih with Kevin Avery (drummer of Retox) that’s playing a show in Long Beach, Calif. At a venue called 4th St. Vine on December 26th. Yeah, I’m using this opportunity to promote someone else’s work.”

The album also features two other guests: ISIS/Palms’ drummer Aaron Harris on the track “An Unfamiliar Reflection Activates A Gate” (https://youtu.be/-Jw1WfmX4wo) and newcomer, singer Sara Kendall on “Time Splits Every End.”

Come, Deathless pre-orders, which include limited edition test pressings, various vinyl editions, cassettes and digital options, are available now via surachai.bandcamp.com.
