Jagwar Twin Collaborates With ROSE IN GOOD FAITH For Final Drop of Ultra Violence Collection

Roy English, the creative force behind Jagwar Twin, has collaborated with ROSE IN GOOD FAITH for their final capsule of bold color ways in the “Ultra Violence” collectionavailable now for a limited time on their webstore. PRESS HERE to view the entire lookbook.

The theme for this final drop, which follows a previous sold-out Ultra Violence collection, is to channel the energy of shared human expression, with the innate desire to capture and control time in today’s digital era.

Akiva Alpert, Co-founder and Creative Director of ROSE IN GOOD FAITH said, “Violence is applicable as a form of aggressive self-expression, and can be a positive act; especially in the context of the mosh pit. It’s this notion of unadulterated human emotion. The angst we all possess can be distilled to its core elements, and through the lens of this collection, create a vibrancy, and sense of raw energy.”

Jagwar Twin worked with Akiva to direct and style this Rose in Good Faith campaign lookbook with his concept of “Digital Inception” – an idea rooted in the duality and collective human spirit of Jagwar Twin.  With the fragile state of the world emotionally, physically, environmentally, and politically, Jagwar Twin exists to find energy and spirit in our shared humanity. This is exemplified in Jagwar Twin’s first single “Loser,” a song about howwe are all the same underneathPRESS HERE to listen to the song which is buzzing at Alternative Radio and has more than 1 million streams and counting.

“Collaborating with ROSE IN GOOD FAITH, I wanted this campaign to be shot on film using cameras from the early 2000s, when everything was transitioning to digital. Then take those photos, scan them onto my laptop and take pictures of the pictures on my dirty laptop screen as a blending of eras just like ROSE IN GOOD FAITH is known for. We all have so much technology and tools at our disposal, but we’re losing our purpose as a society,” says Roy.

ROSE IN GOOD FAITH is known for their modernization of beloved nostalgia. First they re-introduced the loved brand JNCO back into the conversation with a collaboration in 2017, playing with pastiche, irony, and maximalism; evolving the fashion narrative. The brand has also released images of their upcoming collection, taking on ED HARDY, a culturally significant brand known for its bedazzling and maximalism. The ROSE IN GOOD FAITH x ED HARDY collection will only be available exclusively at NUBIAN in Japan, dropping January 2019.
