Lewis Bootle Shares New Video & London Show Announced

‘Walking Away’, featuring additional vocals from Sansha, is the seventh track and visual ‘episode’ to be unveiled from singer / storyteller Lewis Bootle’s forthcoming conceptual mini audio series1 Ep1- Ep8 ‘G A P S’ out now. Lewis’s story is carefully weaved throughout the ‘series’, explaining his concerns about technology playing such a role in and often dictating, modern relationships.

Presenting each song as an ‘episode’ in the overall story, the multi – talented Bootle explains the meaning behind ‘Walking Away’ as follows:

“Things have taken a turn for the worse in Lewis’s new relationship. His girlfriend feels that he isn’t committed, after he didn’t return her calls or texts straight away when he was out with the boys. Unable to resolve the disagreement, the relationship comes to an end”.

Fuelled on the likes of Rex Orange County and Loyle Carner, this new young artist also takes inspiration from Tom Misch, Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar and combines thought-provoking, no – nonsense lyrics with infectious pop melodies to great effect. A former Best Of British Unsigned Male Of The Year, over the last two years Lewis Bootle has performed at Glastonbury, Bestival, Standon CallingFrank Turner’s acclaimed ‘Lost Evenings’ event at The Roundhouse and played ‘sold out’ headline London shows at The Camden Assembly and The Courtyard in Shoreditch.

A truly engaging live artist, he’s currently travelling up and down the UK on a tour of schools where he’s not only performing, but also discussing topics such as Online Safety, Mental Health and Cyber Bullying. Bootle then returns to London for his biggest headline show to date at Omeara near London Bridge on Monday the 17th of December.
