Alt-R&B collective Honors have released a remix of London duo IDER‘s track “Mirror” on Glassnote (Chvrches, Phoenix, and more). The Toronto and Los Angeles foursome added their signature spin and a custom new verse to the indie pop hit. Honors’ sound pulses with a vulnerable alternative R&B heartbeat, making them a perfect fit for reworking IDER’s own softly pulsing electronic elements.

Speaking of the collaboration, Honors shared: “IDER have such a powerful performance and lyrics on ‘Mirror’. We wanted to keep the remix true to the original and still let their vocals tell their story. All of the coloring and melody we created was from their acapellas. We created a third IDER vocalist that is constantly answering, remarking and punctuating their lead vocal throughout. An angelic spirit that is with them along the way singing behind and above them. The purity of their harmonies and synchronicity made chopping and pitching new melodies really special.”

IDER’s Lily Somerville and Megan Markwick added: “We were introduced to Honors a few months ago and got hooked on their music. We absolutely love this remix they’ve done, especially giving it a whole new spin with their feature!”

In addition to the new track, Honors have announced a slew of tour dates with Frontier Air on the ‘Everything Is Good Now’ tour, which kicks off in March, following January headline dates at Mod Club Theatre in Toronto on the 25th and Le Ministère in Montréal on the 26th.
