Sínai releases her new single A.N.X.I.E.T.Y on November 30th. After the release of her debut singles, AA-side ‘Drive’ and ‘Race Horse’ earlier this year, the Londoner is back with a track that is as infectious as it is important and relevant to the times we live in.
Speaking about the song, Sínai explains; “I remember travelling to my session that day, my anxiety was sky high and I found myself listening to endless sad songs. Not. Helpful. Anyway my friend had just told me that 2PAC’s ‘THUG LIFE’ is an acronym for ‘The Hate U Give Little Infants Fucks Everybody’, so I started thinking of new acronyms but I was so bad at it I went back to the sad songs. I finally got to the studio avoiding a meltdown and wrote the fight song I needed to hear – after using Jungleboi as a therapist for an hour – and got an acronym in there. I think A.N.X.I.E.T.Y was me just having enough with my anxiety ruling my life, obviously it’s easier said than done, but since that day I try to remind myself I am stronger than my anxiety ever could be.”
