In a live review, Salt Lake Magazine said, “Barns Courtney and his bandmates gave the performance of seasoned artists, and it largely had to do with the music itself. True, the frontman has the swagger of young Julian Casablancas, which effectively drove all the girls nuts…Yet what’s even more remarkable than his wooing abilities is his delivery of indie rock with an old soul. The creeping, slow march of ‘Glitter and Gold’ and the melancholy slice-of-life (hearkening Leonard Cohen) ‘Little Boy’ is a prime example of what sets Courtney apart.”Barns Courtney recently completed a sold-out U.K./European headline tour and a fall North American outing with The Wombats.

“99,” his new single, is within the Top 20 of Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart and topped The A-List: Alternative playlist on Apple Music. The track has racked up more than 10 million cumulative streams globally. Clash Magazine said, “The video is a real trip, a colourful, at times hilarious return that showcases his inherent creativity.” Check out the clip HERE. Barns Courtney has already surpassed 400 million cumulative streams globally –including more than 200 million streams in the U.S. His debut album, The Attractions Of Youth, sold over 300,000 adjusted album units worldwide. It contained the Top 20 Alternative radio single “Golden Dandelions,” “Fire,” a Top 5 hit at Triple A radio and a Top 15 hit at Alternative, and “Glitter & Gold,” which topped the Spotify U.K. Viral Chart and entered the Top 5 at Triple A radio in the U.S. Named Artist of the Year at the Music Week Sync Awards 2018, his songs have been heard in films (The Founder, Burnt), television shows (“Suits,” “Lucifer,” Netflix’s “Safe”) and advertising campaigns (Showtime, Cadillac, Miller Lite).
