Today Brooklyn-based vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Allen Tate (formerly of San Fermin), shares new track “What To Say.” This is the second single off Allen’s forthcoming solo album In The Waves to be released in 2019.
In The Waves is full of anthemic guitar melodies, uptempo drums and stadium ready tracks.
Lyrically, the album explores feelings of self-doubt, anxiety and transitioning into a new stage of adulthood. It was recorded in just nine days with producer and engineer John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr, Phosphorescent, Kurt Vile).
Says Tate, “‘What To Say’ is a song about how everyone processes emotions differently and sometimes what a loved one wants for themselves and what you want for them do not align. I wrote this track about someone in my life who was struggling and I was trying to understand the situation from their perspective.”
Today Allen also announces a show at Union Pool in Brooklyn on Friday, February 22nd, tickets here.
