Toby Corton reveals final single ‘Nicotine’ from his debut EP ‘A Lover Outta Practice”

Toby Corton & His Band By Chance has just revealed the final track ‘Nicotine’  to be taken from his debut EP ‘A Lover Outta Practice’ released 23rd November 2018. Listen HERE

In his own words Toby describes ‘Nicotine’ as being about,  ‘Addiction, using the idea of smoking to navigate ideas relating to addictive love. It’s about the power that a love addiction can have on us – even when we know it’s not good for our health and often leaves a “bitter taste”, we can’t help but spark up again.’

A refreshing mix of retro and modern influences, Toby describes his sound as ‘a modern British take on Neo-Soul. Jazz, soul, r’n’b with an indie sensibility’. The talented singer/songwriter has quickly developed from acoustic performances to now working with a full live band, recently selling-out their second only ever live gig  together at  Servant Jazz Quarters in East London.

Toby’s first ever demo ‘Hazy Sunday’  was  released  last year and currently stands at over an impressive 80,000 SoundCloud streams. The single also attracted the  attention of  Colors Berlin who invited Toby in for a live session and also led to a performance at Pride 2017 in Trafalgar Square .

You can catch Toby Corton & His Band By Chance live at The Windmill in Brixton on Monday 26th November 2018  for an EP launch with a difference. With the support of spectacular live Drag and music performances from prominent LGBTQ+ artists of the London Scene, it promises to be one hell of a celebration!
