Having received great support from the likes of Spindle, Clash and Pop Justice for her single ‘What She’s Like’ as Boba K back in 2017, the incredibly dynamic artist returns as Delena with the release of ‘Animal’ on 28th October. Showcasing further diversity in her musical heritage and song writing style, ‘Animal’ is a powerful anthem of self-confidence, strength and belief, elevated by Delena’s flawless vocal delivery.
Born in Kiev, she moved to a Switzerland school at just age 12 and eventually relocated to London to study at the London Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance, where she perfected her craft of captivating song writing. Music formed a large part of her roots and upbringing, as she is related to Ukranian screenwriter, film producer and director Alexander Dovzhenko, who shared her immense talent for intricate storytelling. Moving to London was a new lease of life, and, inspired by the likes of Eta James, Ella Fitzgerald and Queen to name a few, she began to develop her distinctive, sassy style of pop.
Now, having collaborated with Brian Rawling (One Direction, Enrique Inglesias) and teamed up with Snowflake Music over the last couple of years, her highly-anticipated debut album is in the works as she continues to impress with her critically acclaimed single releases.
