“Once we were done filming the movie I felt like I had more insight on the feelings I wanted to convey, so when Justin Tranter and I began to collaborate the writing process flowed effortlessly. I drew from my own personal experiences with the presence of unconditional love in the absence of being related by blood,” said Moner.  “This song is very personal to me. I was very scared of sharing it with the world but Sean Anders was so encouraging and really helped me believe I could do it.”

About the song, the film’s director and co-writer Sean Anders commented, “After hearing her incredible music I was determined to get an original Isabela Moner song in Instant Family. She recorded “I’ll Stay” and it was absolutely perfect. A beautiful, heartfelt song with lyrics that are right on point. I believe “I’ll Stay” is going to be a treasured anthem for adopted young people and their families for years to come.
