Mark Angels Shares “Climax”

After a major kick start to his solo career, in demand songwriter Mark Angels returns with his sensual electro-R&B banger Climax. The half Filipino half Scottish hit maker joins fellow Scots Tom Walker and Nina Nesbitt as one of the most exciting talents to emerge from Scotland. Growing up influenced by R&B giants Usher, Chris Brown and Beyoncé, Mark is the perfect love child of his predecessors. With his roots based in gospel music, his soulful vocal weaves elegantly through glamorously electric productions.

It’s no surprise that Mark’s previous release Falling racked up 60,000 streams in less than 3 months and featured in a whopping 260 independent playlists, as well as the official R&B playlist on Deezer. On top of that, international superstar DJ Jonas Blue and pop-rap duo Jack & Jack championed Falling when they featured the track on their Jonas Blue x Jack & Jack: Summer Sounds playlist alongside global stars like Drake. With Climax’s wildly infectious chorus and spectacular contemporary dance-R&B sounds, Climax is sure to replicate the success of Mark’s previous efforts and prove the emerging star could be a hit maker not just for K-pop elites, but for himself too.

Speaking on the motivation behind Climax, Mark explains:

“Climax depicts the inevitable failure of a toxic relationship. Letting go seems impossible when you’re trapped by past memories of love, late night drives & rebellious behaviour.”
