Keeping up with our premiere week, we are teaming up with Aviator Stash for the premiere of their new single “Babe,” a track that showcases the romantic side of the band that gets the lighters and phone screens waving in the air when played live. The song has this cute story line of the man trying his hardest to get home after he hits almost every detour possible.
About the song, Kyle comments:
“Babe” is like an old school slow dance song from the ‘50s that’s been thrown into a modern blender which is Gregory Kellogg’s brain. It’s a great jam because it combines soft elements of lovey-dovey tenderness with harder qualities of going out (and probably drinking) without her. It gets you all warm and fuzzy hearted, thinking about that girl you love. And all of the things you would do for her. It encourages all of the hardships that a man goes through any given day and how the mere thought of the woman you love will push you through that last tear, the last lonely cab ride, the last mile stretch, where you can make out the lights on the patio of the house she may be sleeping. Both the lyrics and the instruments are great at tugging at your heart strings. They envelop you and make you want to just get into bed with your woman, never to come out again.”
‘Babe’ is the second single off of Aviator Stash’s new album entitled Prescribed set for release Nov. 16th The album has a strong theme about loved ones and friends loosing themselves to mental health problems. The tone of most of the album is very bright and happy which is the metaphor of so many people trying to hide behind what’s really happening in their heads and portrays everything is fun and one big party! Everyone seems to be Prescribed to something these days their phones, tv, girlfriends, drugs, etc…
