London post-punks FLOAT share new single MOTHER via Strong Island Recordings

Following their cacophonous debut single ‘WATCH’, premiered on DIY Magazine, London-based post-punk outfit FLOATwill release ‘MOTHER’ via underground tastemaker label Strong Island Recordings(Los Bitchos, Sleep Eaters,Melt Dunesand UGLY). Listen here

Hailing from all corners of England, the band came together a year ago and have already seen their boisterous brand of rock music earn them a glowing reputation in their scene. With influences ranging from Echo & The Bunnymen and Television to Neu! and The Doors, FLOAT are ensuring the lineage of exciting guitar bands remains unbroken.

Produced by Euan Hinshelwood (Younghusband, Emmy The Great& Wesley Gonzalez), ‘MOTHER’launches you head first into the raucous world of FLOAT. With its static noise and propulsive bass riff intro, motorik rhythms, spiky guitars and darkly washed-out vocals quickly join the mix, making for a 5 minute suspense-laden thrill.

Having already played alongside fellow doom-mongering psychedelia enthusiasts The Telescopes, Elephant Stone and The Cosmic Dead, FLOAT will bring their ominous live show to the following dates:

07.11 The Shacklewell Arms, London

07.12 Chameleon Cafe, Nottingham

15.12 The Finsbury, London
