Flora Cash says about the video: “’You’re Somebody Else’ has meant so many different things to so many different people. We’ve read thousands of comments and received thousands of messages from people telling us how much this song has affected them and how directly it relates to whatever their situation is. It’s actually affected how we ourselves hear the song. We shot this video with a large diverse group of people whose actual casting process involved telling us on home recorded footage what this song meant to them and how they personally related to the lyrics. Individuals were chosen on the basis of the degree to which they related to the song; it was a really emotional process. We’re honored by their involvement and excited to finally share the result. We hope this video means as much to everyone who watches as it means to us and everyone who was involved in its creation.”
