Lauren Ruth Ward Releases Cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit”

2018 has been a spectacular for LA-based Lauren Ruth Ward, hailed for her 70s psych-blues swagger and incomparable vocal stylings. In addition to releasing her critically acclaimed debut album Well, Hell, she has shared stages with Keith Urban, Shirley Manson, Eddie Vedder, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Shakey Graves and Liz Phair, played to sold out crowds in LA & across the US and has recently announced a headline show at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on December 6.

Lauren celebrates Grace Slick’s birthday today by releasing her rendition of Jefferson Airplane hit single “White Rabbit” via Medium. “Grace Slick is the goddess of psych rock” declares Lauren. “There’s a movement happening right now in LA that I feel part of. So many women leading their own unique rock genre. I feel invincible singing Grace’s lyrics. I feel the palpable energy of all the musicians in the room when singing ‘White Rabbit.’ It’s one of those songs that gives life.”
