Born in Italy, singer/songwriter Alice Pisano moved to London with a guitar, a keyboard and a suitcase full of ambition. Fascinated by the city that she now calls home, Alice cites the feelings of isolation that she gets from the vast urban expanse as a focal point for her songwriting. Having released a version of Counting Crows’ “American Girls” to the acclaim of the band themselves, Alice Pisano comes through with her debut single, the melancholic, yet hopeful new track ‘Celebrate Life’. The latest release shows a sense of fragility in Alice’s songwriting, whilst also juxtaposing its delicacies and soft vocals against powerful, heartfelt lyrics. These contrasts are a feature throughout Alice’s work and reflects the shadow and light that make us who we are. ‘Celebrate Life’ is the first track of the upcoming ‘Celebrate Life’ EP produced by Ian Barter (Dermot Kennedy, Izzy Bizu)
Speaking on the track Alice states; “I wrote Celebrate Life at a point where I was struggling with self-esteem and the fear of not being good enough. What helped me through it was noticing the beauty within and around me and letting go of expectations of perfection”.
