VERA BLUE RELEASES NEW SINGLE “ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS”

After what has been a phenomenal 12 months for Vera Blue the incandescent singer-songwriter is back with her brand new single “All The Pretty Girls”. Written in LA in July, “All The Pretty Girls” is a stunning change of pace, taking her deft lyricism and vocal prowess to a bold, new direction. While her stunning, acclaimed debut album Perennial was characterised by heartbreak, “All The Pretty Girls” is defined by self-possession and empowerment.

“All The Pretty Girls” is built around a live band sound that recalls Fleetwood Mac, and places Vera Blue’s powerful, otherworldly voice front and centre. The song came out of one of many studio sessions in LA with Chelsea Lena (Chromeo, Sabrina Carpenter) and Steve Solomon (James Arthur, Christina Perry) earlier this year and was produced by Andy Mak. “It’s basically just a little playful song that is also empowering. I feel really excited about it and I just can’t wait to play it live” she says. “I feel like a lot of people can probably connect to it because it’s kind of a self-protection song.”

Vera Blue has also released Lady Powers Live At The Forum. A live 16-track recording taken from her Sold-Out Lady Powers Show at The Forum in Melbourne on June 2nd. It’s a crystallisation of Celia’s growth these past two years, and acutely captures her magnetic stage presence and vocal prowess. WATCH “MAGAZINE (LADY POWERS LIVE AT THE FORUM)” HERE
