Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Faith To Believe”?
Yes! This is a tune that anyone who has seen us play live would have heard as it’s been in our set for a little while now. We wrote this just after recording our first EP. This song was probably the one that we felt was the musical direction we were heading towards.
Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?
There were some things going on in my life at the time which had me questioning who I was, my judgement and making me feel like I was going a bit mad. Somewhere I’m sure we’ve all been!
Any plans to release a video for the single?
There certainly are. We have a video ready to go the same day we release the single!
How was the recording and writing process?
Writing this number was a lot of fun and things seemed to fall in place pretty easily. It’s great when that happens! Recording was nice and straight forward for this one too as we already had a clear picture of how it should sound. The ‘telephone voice’ part was done on a whim though and instantly caught our ear!
What role does Kent play in your music?
It’s a great place to be based for all different reasons. From a writing perspective we can find influence from the extremes of the beautiful countryside to the mayhem of our local towns. Plus we are a short train ride from London which is always handy for gigs!
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
We do have another single ready for release after this one which we are really excited about! We also have a load more material written or in the writing process which is sounding great. We just need to make a decision on what to release next, be it a full-length album? Another EP? Or a few more singles?
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
Nothing set in stone, but you won’t have to wait too long for the next single!
Any plans to hit the road?
Yes! We intend to get all over the UK in 2019 and maybe a bit further!
What else is happening next in Gallows Circus’ world?
We are working on building way more content for our YouTube channel and our other social media sites. So far, I guess we look quite serious. But you’re gonna get to see the more playful side of us pretty soon!
