Blues & soul singer Tami has released a moving new video for single The Cure, taken from her recently released album ‘Velvet & Steel’.
Directed by acclaimed Thai film director, Adsajun Sattagovit, The Cure tackles the issue of conservation and has a hard-hitting, important message that introduces a new theme and accompanying visual metaphor to the Blues Barnstormer that was originally written by Chris Stapleton.
Tami, originally from Oklahoma by way of Nashville, has spent a large portion of her life in Thailand where the video for The Cure was filmed. Taking in the beautiful sights of Khao Yai National Forest, an hour and a half outside of Bangkok.
On the video, and bringing a new visual meaning to the track, Tami says:
“I wanted to make the video story something different. We went through many scenarios of causes and cures; relationships, vices, and then we landed upon the idea to make the video about the very important topic needing to be discussed by all of us, which is Our planet, Our world, Our one home and how important it is to love and protect it.”
