Leeds promoters and slice slingers Pizza For The People will cap off their busiest ever year with a Christmas edition of their ‘Indie Banquet’ event taking place at Wharf Chambers on the 15th of December.
Announced as headliners are acclaimed raucous post-punks and Fat White Family off-shoot Warmduscher who will be bringing their chaotic live show to Wharf Chambers. Joining them are gritty South London quintet Hotel Lux, fast-rising post-punk Hull quartet Lumer, Leeds newcomers Wilted and Huddersfield noise merchants Polevaulter.
With food, as ever, at the heart of all their events, Pizza For The People have also announced Leeds based vegan fried chicken pop up VFC who will be serving up delicious fried seitan all evening as part of this Christmas Banquet.
Started in 2016 by Ryan Morgan and Julia King, Pizza For The People have been running their Indie Banquets in venues across the city ever since. Matching line ups of the most exciting new bands with the best food vendors around, Pizza For The People have played host to artists like The Wytches, Gengahr, The Orielles, Kagoule and Vulgarians matched the likes of What’s Your Beef, Mio Pizza, The Pizza Guy, VFC, Pizza Fella, Golden Balls, The Yorkshire Pizza Company and Little Bao Boy.
