Having been hunkered away writing music with different people all over the south of UK the last few months, Bertie Scott took some time out to re-brand and find a new sound; got a bunch of new tracks all lined up ready to go for release – and today we got a first taste.
“Feel Alive” (co-written with my friends Jack Cooper and Rob Gulston from the band Holloway Road) leans more towards synth pads, a much electronic pop kind of production – but keeping that alt-pop chorus energy in there. This is a must listen, for all fans of artists like Sia, or Zayn.
“The song, as the name suggests, is about feeling alive, that buzz you get from life, like a splash of cold water. These days a lot of the time we’re so programmed into doing the same thing 9-5, settling down, watching TV in the evenings, same thing day in day out – it becomes a bit stale. Sometimes you just wanna get that buzz, to really feel something.”
In addition to its new single, Scott will be on the road next month:
9th November – Medicine, Royal Holloway Students Unions
17th November – Southend Xmas Switch On
22nd November – Ipswich Xmas Switch On
29th November – 02 Academy Islington (w/ Youth Club)
30th November – Zetland, Huddersfield
