Brace yourself. Rachael Bawn is full of life and vibrance in her refreshing new music video. “Alive” is, as the title suggests, a cheerful ballad that highlights the prosperity of living in the moment. The visual epitomizes Rachael’s life perspective. Her purpose-driven message is infectious and makes listeners feel alive.

“Alive” begins with Rachael returning home after a busy work day. While gazing at a collage of her musical heroes, she pops in a cassette tape and transforms into an all out pop star. The camera shifts between close-ups of Rachael at her merriest which is reinforced by clips of live performances intertwined with each scene. At the songs hook, Rachael sings, “I’m alive electric like a wire. I’m a firefly trying to burn a little brighter.” Her passionate lyrics are contagious and could get stuck in your head.

When asked about the single Rachael says, “The ‘Alive’ video is really about the journey of chasing a lifelong dream. It’s about the persistence, perseverance and passion it takes to walk down a road full of disappointment and heartbreak,” she continues. “Experiencing the successes is worth the risk and difficulties though when each step leads to the next great adventure. ‘Alive’ is truly an introduction to my journey.”

Rachael’s lifelong dream to inspire and uplift youth continued to come to fruition during her High School Nation tour sponsored by Hollister and Takis earlier this year. The Toronto native traveled throughout cities in North America to spread her positive message. Students had the opportunity to watch Rachael perform “Alive” along with other standout singles like “Broken” and “Superstar.” During the tour Rachael partnered with World Vision and the Canadian government to raise money through her merchandise sells to aid African and Asian families.

For her upcoming tour with Live Different, she will be interacting with 20,000+ high school students and will be promoting her new single, “Daggers.” Rachael intends to spread the message of how to deal with bullying from your peers (October is National Bullying Prevention Month).
