Critically acclaimed and platinum-selling artist ERIC HUTCHINSON linked up with Parade.com to premiere the official music video for “she could be the one” with Laura B. Whitmore noting, “traces of The Beatles meets Tom Petty meets a uniquely fun Hutchinson spin all lend to the hip vibe of this tune.” Click here to watch the unapologetically California video that was mostly shot on location in Santa Monica, directed by Erica Dasher and stars the beautiful Brazilian-born actress Jade Catta-Preta. The upliftingly melodic and rhythmically driving single is from HUTCHINSON‘s introspective new album MODERN HAPPINESS available everywhere tomorrow, October 5 via Let’s Break Records.
HUTCHINSON recently spoke with Billboard.com about how he thought he was “just done with music” after coming off the road and being burnt out. Read more of that interview here. Talking about his experience with anxiety, mental health, marijuana and his father’s Myotonic muscular dystrophy, HUTCHINSON opened up even deeper in a new Q&A that takes a look at a selection of lyrics from each song off MODERN HAPPINESS which can be read here.
On MODERN HAPPINESS, his fifth full-length studio album, ERIC dives into the human condition and the need of many who rely on anti-depressants to find their “modern happiness.” ERIC says, “This album is the first music I’ve written since I started taking Prozac and the lyrics are very much about my eternal search for purpose, contentment and meaning.”
