With their self-titled freshman EP under their belt, Nashville indie/rock outfit, Vedra, has honed their unique sound even more with the release of their newest single and official video for “Smoke & Mirrors” on October 2nd. In true Vedra fashion, their newest single is riddled with shamelessly honest lyrics and a driving rhythm that feels tribal with a modern spin. “Smoke & Mirrors” pulls back the curtain to reveal an honest portrayal of the struggles of living with anxiety and depression.

“I’ve spent years writing songs from other people’s perspectives – with “Smoke & Mirrors” I finally feel like I’ve put it all on the table and held nothing back. It’s a true depiction of my life and my hope is that listeners find it relatable. We’re all together in this and you’re not alone.” – Branon Jaggers

Smoke & Mirrors - Vedra [Official Video]

Over the last two years, Branon Jaggers (lead singer, guitarist) and Kirby Newman (percussionist) have taken a new approach to the way they think of themselves as a band. From their live streams to their live shows, they’re constantly tweaking the way they do things to find more creative and honest ways to connect with fans. They’ve started a weekly live show hosted on Facebook Live and Twitch called “Sunday on the Rocks” where they’ve created a talk show-esque format for their fans to have a drink with the band, do Q&As and hear some of their favorite songs.

Vedra is currently working on recording their sophomore album and booking their next tour.
