MODEL SOCIETY Releases ‘Public Service’

Suburban Punk outfit Model Society came together after meeting in the work offices of a publishing company and a shared love for bands such as Bloc Party, Blur, The Clash and The Pistols. With a collective musical radar and punk DIY ethos in hand the band set out on a mission to strike a chord and leave a lasting impression!

Lyrically they offer observations of 21st Century Britain all tailored with an upbeat sound and choruses to get you singing and pogoing along. Early performances at The Great Escape and City Showcase rubber stamped an already growing reputation as a must-see band and was eagerly followed up with debut EP ‘Inner City Kicks’ produced by Paul Tipler (Idlewild, Placebo).

A brit-wave explosion was soon to follow for these London natives catching the ears of 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Chris Hawkins and BBC London’s Gary Crowley.

With word continuing to spread and bearing the fruits of new recordings at Metropolis Studios with producer Fraser Smith (Shed Seven) taking the band to another level, Model Society arrive with new single ‘Public Service’ and continue to embrace audiences near and far with their sound of the city!
