ALLEN TATE SHARES “WHEN DID I GET LIKE THIS” + ON EAST COAST RUN WITH ISRAEL NASH NOW

Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Allen Tate (previously known as the lead vocalist of San Fermin) shared the first track off his forthcoming solo record, In The Waves, yesterday via NPR Music.

Tate’s second foray into solo territory is a purposeful look inward, showcasing his lyrical gift and struggles with self-doubt. And “When Did I Get Like This” is an anthem for all those adrift. The song starts off with a sunlit guitar riff before being ushered onward by drums that call to mind the drive and ease of surf-rock, all leading up to the title verse delivered with Tate’s signature, earnest composure.

Allen kicked off an East Coast run of tour dates last night at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade supporting Israel Nash. This week he will also play Philly, DC and Pittsburgh– all dates below.

Stay tuned for more news to come on the forthcoming album…
