She Drew The Gun releases video for new track ‘Resister Reprise’

She Drew The Gun have shared the new video for ‘Resister Reprise’, the blistering second track to be taken from the Wirral band’s new album ‘Revolution Of Mind’ following lead single ‘Resister’, which was premiered by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music and is currently on the station’s A-List. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxCeHbvQRyU&feature=youtu.be

Produced by James Skelly (The Coral) at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studios. ‘Revolution Of Mind’ is the follow-up to She Drew The Gun’s acclaimed 2016 debut ‘Memories Of Another Future’ (“Junkyard Scouse soul, built ingeniously on a Wirral council budget” ???? Uncut), which contained the BBC 6Music playlisted singles ‘Poem’, ‘Pit Pony’, ‘Since You Were Not Mine’ and ‘No Hole In My Head.’

If there’s a central theme to the new record, it’s liberation, in various guises: “Empowerment; resisting; arming yourself with knowledge; questioning the status quo, questioning your own state of mind and how its affected by the systems we live in,” explains Louisa Roach, She Drew The Gun’s frontwoman, guitarist and songwriter.

Wirral-born Roach draws inspiration from the likes of underground folk legend Malvina Reynolds, Manchester poet Toria Garbutt, and contemporary voices like Kate Tempest, Nadine Shah and Courtney Barnett. “I crave music that says something,” she says, “music that goes beyond simple love songs.”

She Drew The Gun return to the live scene following the release of ‘Revolution Of Mind’, supporting The Coral on all dates of their UK tour. See below for details.
