ZER0 Release ‘Inner Demons’

ZER0, are Uzzee and Sacha, one from Paris and one from London, taking influences from hip hop, electro and jazz from both sides of the channel, to generate their own 2018 sound. They are easily one of the most exciting and innovative acts coming out of both scenes with a fresh, versatile sound ready to creative some serious damage.

Following the success of their debut EP ‘Orpheus’ last year, they now gear up to release the upcoming EP ‘ZER0’ and if this new track ‘Inner Demons’ is something to go by, we’re ready. Additionally, with a full interview scheduled to go live on I-D France, it is obvious they’re making some serious waves in the blogosphere already.

Musically influenced by everything from Nirvana, to 2pac, Massive Attack to James Blake – for these two music makers, it’s gone a long way, judging by the duo’s new track “Inner Demons”. A meteorite of a track, the allusions to the ethereal instrumental and scorching lyricisms, with Uzzee and Sacha mixing in the creative streets of Paris it is a truly contemporary take on such classic flavours.

Speaking on the track, ZER0 state: “Inner Demons is a glimpse within, that deals with countering the dark thoughts that swirl around our minds, with positivity, grit and determination. It switches drastically halfway and metamorphoses into its final form. Listen here

This further illustrates the duality and contrast between the constant battles we face within ourselves and with ourselves.”

It’s also a marker of the serious credentials of the two friends. ZER0 tears open a hole in the scene and starkly make their claim as one of the most genuinely exciting acts this year.
