Ehlie Luna is hitting the restart button with her new single “Baptise Me”. With the Billboard premiere of her silence breaking buzz single, Ehlie puts completely surrender and self awareness into a 3 minute self care anthem. After her critically-acclaimed track “FVRS” (which now has almost 2 million streams on Spotify) – Ehlie went on a hiatus to focus on mental health and self care after a period of mourning, from which she emerged with a new name (formerly Moxiie) and new inspiration.
Written by Ehlie, “Baptise Me” was produced by Hustle Standard, and Fredrik “Fredro” Odesjo. The single is from her upcoming EP (her first project under the artist name, Ehlie Luna) and she has plans on more releases throughout fall 2018 ahead of the EP’s arrival. Ehlie has also worked with Reo (Beyoncé), Swish Allnet (Eminem) and APSPDR+ (SZA).
The rising singer often creates an auditory picture of her surroundings. Delivering emotive and sometimes haunting melodies with a penchant for experimentation, she is often compared to the likes of Jhené Aiko, SZA, FKA Twigs, and Charli XCX.
Ehlie explains, “Baptise Me is ultimately about surrender. It captures that intimate moment when you just really take stock of your life and realize maybe things I actually flow better when you let go.”
Ehlie continues to write new life into the alt R&B space, weaving genres and moods seamlessly into an infectious sound. She displays visceral songwriting ability, raw vulnerability and a sensual vibe all at once. Intent on pushing the limits, she allows her genre to be dictated by heart vs precedent.
