Sit and relax as the groove fills your room courtesy of our rare Saturday premiere cover, “Love Come Down”, by the incredible one-man band Blood Ambition.
Frontman Brian Harding says of the track:
“I heard Barry Bigg’s version of Love Come Down through a friend and for 6 months I had it in my head every day. It’s one of those songs that hit me very deeply. I watched the video over and over. So I thought recording it might exercise it out of me.”
Blond Ambition is the solo pop project of Ex-Cops frontman, Brian Harding. Garnering critical acclaim on his 2017 debut, Slow All Over, released via Swoon City Music. BlondAmbition‘s songs are astute dance-pop numbers — immediately catchy with something to say.
Blond Ambition takes respectful cues from the early disco/dance/Avant-garde Downtown scene of 1970s and ’80s New York, the pastiche-sampling art rock of bands like World Party and Big Audio Dynamite, and even the Grateful Dead. Harding also cites his stint as a bartender in an NYC nightclub for exposing him to the house and dance scenes that changed the way he looks at making music
