Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hey! We are great. Thanks for having us! We’re excited to share Wisdom Pie to the world.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Wisdom Pie”

It was a really fun track to create. It started off with Peter writing that sick ass bass line and vocoder melody with the lyrics, “Can I get a little piece of that peace of mind,” so it was really easy to build off of that. I think we are all trying to find some peace in this crazy mad world, so it’s something everyone can relate to.

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

Getting high with our mothers, haha (some of us)! But in reality, it’s more about connecting with Mother Earth and tapping into a new state of mind. Entering the unknown and realizing that we can make our lives easier by learning to settle our thoughts and really being aware of our surroundings. And if smoking a phatty with someone you look up to or someone you love gets you there, freaking go for it!

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

We knew the perfect human for the job as soon as the song was done. Rufus Paisley, a super talented and unique artist. He listened to the song once and immediately knew what kind of world he would want to create for us.

How was the recording and writing process?

This was a really fun song to write and record. It was like we had one huge canvas and everyone picked their colors of paint and just started adding layers. The whole song just flowed out like a stream. I think it took us only an hour.

What role does LA play in your writing?

LA inspires us all the time. We all love how diverse and unique it is. So many cool artistic things are happening all the time. There is always something to check out and people are constantly creating inspiring works to be seen and heard. That’s so cool about LA, you can discover new things all the time. Kyle and I are both natives, but LA feels like home to all of us.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Yes, stay tuned, lots of music coming soon! We have so many songs in the oven that are ready to be taken out and sent off into the world.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Next single is called “Pressure” and is coming out in October!

Any plans to hit the road?

Yes, touring Europe in Spring 2019!

What else is happening next in Karmic’s world?

We will be spending a lot of time in the studio for the next few months working on our first full-length album coming out next year. We also have a few local shows coming up. To find out where and when, please go to our website and follow us on all social media platforms @thisiskarmic.
