Dan Owen releases video for title track of acclaimed debut album ‘Stay Awake With Me’

Dan Owen has shared the video for his latest single ‘Stay Awake With Me’, the title track from his acclaimed debut album, out now.

Poignant and moving, the video visualises the subject of the track, which is a beautiful ballad written as an ode to Dan’s beloved grandfather, who passed away just before Christmas last year, written from the point of view of his grandmother – the pair met at an army base in Berlin as teenagers and spent 50 years together.

The video features footage of a couple throughout the years, cutting from the past to the present and interspersed by the widow reminiscing over old photos.

Regarding the video Dan says, “This is the song on my album that I feel closest to, singing it means a lot to me, and this video is a tribute to the time my Nan and Grandad spent together – gone but will never be forgotten.”

The song is the title track and latest single to be taken from Dan’s recently released and highly acclaimed debut album and follows the release of the critically acclaimed singles‘Made To Love You’‘Icarus’‘Fall Like A Feather’‘Hideaway’ and ‘What Is A Man’.
