PREMIERE: Houston-based Bayou City Funk Release New Music Video For “Pile Driver”

Wrapping up our premiere week, we got the always exciting new band Bayou City Funk premiering their new video for “Pile Driver”. The song is off the band’s first album, ‘Down to Funk’ and it’s an instrumental high energy funk jam that gets the party started.

The video was filmed in the band’s studio space where they tirelessly practice and perform. It was directed by Jon Conner of FILMATIC, Director of Photography was Orlando Briones of FILMATIC and it was produced by Splice Records Founder Shaun Brennan.

About the song, the band comments:

Working with Jon Conner with Filmatic was what fueled the project. We wanted to make a series of videos showing the band in their work space and rehearsal space. We can document the progression of the art work that has been tagged and pained by @WileyArt, who has also created all the art on the album, the shirt and who has been spreading his message of ‘Love’ all over Houston.

Jon Conner who also wrote and directed the music video for Arthur Yoria for the song ‘Wishlist’, and this video clearly displays how versatile he can be behind the camera.

Bayou City Funk recorded a killer opening album called ‘Down to Funk’ but we do feel they are best consumed live! Pile Driver is the opening song on their new album and this video will be the first of a series of live videos from their rehearsal space.
