Mylko Release “Runaway”

Mylko are an international multi-instrumentalist production duo formed of Jose Pablo Ibarra and Patricio Dávila [Jopa & Pato] from Mexico City, both have been involved within the music industry for 15 years and coincidentally both started their musical careers as Drummers, they both cite that starting their career with a percussion instrument makes you see the importance of rhythm in music.

This is clear within Mylko’s music, they break the norms of stereotypical electronica while challenging popular concepts of music production and songwriting. Taking influence from artists such as Flying LotusThe Chemical Brothers and Cornelius, the duo are gearing up to release Runawaywhich is taken off of their second LP Fractures.

Speaking about Runaway, Mylko said “Runaway talks about the romantic self-destructive abandonment of a loved one which everyone seems to be going through nowadays. Still, this sample-heavy track and retro mellow synths are intended to make you dance while you get over your breakup”
