Super groovy just tired of carrying the weight we bare.
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Right Now”?
Part of being tired comes from the fact we are so concerned about everything in life. We wrote “right now” as an escape from that. We wanted to the worlds problems and write something fun and happy, however we couldn’t quite escape from sarcasm.
Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
Frederik, a kind human, started playing these chords on the guitar and we were immediately intrigued. it was precisely what we needed.
How was the filming process and experience behind the video?
It was a long eight hours in 114 degree heat in the desert of Death Valley. Our species naturally fares well in the heat, however we made sure everyone was properly hydrated. Everything was smooth and it helped that the shoot was a lot of fun or else the heat might have messed with our spirits. Spirits were strong.
How was the recording and writing process?
We probably spent 3-4 days on the song. Many drinks were had. Which lead us to a lot of rewriting and improving upon our initial demo. The confetti writing dynamic is very collaborative. Everybody does a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Frederick mostly produced and knocked down our stupid ideas. He’s awesome. There was a real trombone player that showed up with a trunk of his own, very cool. Some live horns are sweet, a confetti special.
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
We got loads of tunes that we are really proud of on the docket. You should expect another single this month 😉
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
Later this month 😉
What other struggles and themes will you be exploring on this record?
Our next song addresses religious and spiritual issues. It’s a journey we’re really excited about.
Any plans to hit the road?
Absolutely! We are known for our endurance, not necessarily our speed. Once we have enough material public we plan on hitting the road hard.
What else is happening next in Confetti’s world?
Writing more songs! Filming more videos. Reaching out and finding new fans. Making headlines, good or bad! We want to make it clear everyone is welcome to the circus.
