Self-taught multi-instrumentalist Adam French is one of the most interesting singer-songwriters currently operating. It’s no surprise then that he’s set to headline one of BBC Music Introducing’s live at the Lexington on the 4th of October. Tickets for the show will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday the 5thSeptember.
He’s also revealed a beautiful new video for his current single, Incompatible. The track itself is a heart-breaking ode to a relationship already lost, while the video, directed by Silent Tapes, explores the theme using dreamlike imagery and swathes of light and dark. “This video was a lot of fun to make, but definitely captures the meaning of the song in quite a beautiful way. Face to face with the unobtainable, that feeling of never truly being at one with the one you love. Francis & Stephanie (silent tapes) have an incredible talent, I love working with them and I hope people enjoy our latest instalment”. WATCH HERE.
Incompatible was taken from the ‘You From The Rest EP’ released earlier this year.
Speaking about the EP Adam said “It’s been nice to pull these songs together and pick up where we left off with the ‘weightless’ EP, my music will always be lyrically led, but I think the ‘you from the rest’ EP just gives another glimpse of the varied sounds that will end up becoming my debut album. It feels good to be putting that side of things out into the world.”
So far, 2018 has seen Adam tour the UK and Europe and play a huge array of festivals including Camp Bestival, Dot To Dot, Deershed, Hit The North, Live At Leeds.. Having already supported and shared the bill with the likes of Jack Garratt, Jake Bugg, Jacob Banks and Rat Boy, Adam has rounded off his first ever UK headline tour, which included a sold-out show at London’s Omeara.
