IDA KUDO Releases “Ghost”

IDA KUDO’s Danish-Japanese background offers equal parts of Eastern mystique and cool Scandinavian precision. Her new single ‘Ghost’ combines the two worlds in the most beautiful way; with her clever lyrical narrative, her playful yet fragile bright vocal and clear-cut production, “Ghost” has an infectious energy and will definitely draw even more attention to this young original artist.

The tribal inspired electronic beats and the Eastern undertones are a breath of fresh air on the music scene with comparisons naturally falling on artists such as M.I.A, Santigold, Lorde, and Janelle Monae.

She has consistently received great recognition on the Copenhagen electronic scene, with support from Noisey and Soundvenue Magazine among others, and with the international release of the latest single ‘Wolf’ (2018) she made an entry into the UK scene with hand picks on BBC London as well as playing several shows across the country during the summer (The Old Blue Last, Sofar Sounds, XPO North etc.).

IDA KUDO has previously performed live at some great upcoming festivals in Denmark including Summer in the City, UHØRT! Festival, Cph Distortion, the Copenhagen Pride Festival, New Note Festival, SPOT Festival. The Village Festival (Netherlands) a.o.

At the age of 4, IDA KUDO started playing the violin and has now finished her education from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen as a singer as well as studying at BIMM, London. IDA KUDO has made a long run for the refinement of her music and with the single ’Ghost’ she is in every way ready to take the next big step.
