Julia Ryan Delivers Soulful Second Single, Slow It Down

Slow It Down” is the genuine self-love anthem you’ve been waiting for. The song is about wanting so badly to fall in love but cannot fully commit to another if you don’t love who you are yet. After Ryan’s live premiere of this song over a year ago at LA’s beloved Troubadour, fans have been patiently awaiting Ryan’s single release of “Slow It Down.” Listen here

The song was first released as a demo on SoundCloud almost 3 years ago and is now being released publicly on all distribution platforms. Ryan talks about how she performed the song so many times with her band, to the point that the emotional energy released from the performance was what she wanted to capture in the studio recording. Michael Arrom, Ryan’s producer, was able to arrange and capture Ryan’s raw talent in a unique way.

Ryan explains, “I strongly believe self-love is so important no matter who you are, what you do, and whom you choose to love. Love is like a faucet, some days it will flow in strides of confidence, and other days it might drip. But we all need to remember inner-love never truly leaves us, although it may feel like that at times. I hope this song can evoke that emotion in listeners. I want people to know self-love isn’t a huge ego, vanity or arrogance. It’s an inner peace that comes from being okay with who you are no matter what.”
