Crystal Tamar’s new single might be called “Nowhere” but the Texas native has been everywhere. The multi-talented performer, who is currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area will captivate listeners with her melodic vocals. Soul Train Award-winning publication, Soul Bounce praised “Nowhere” and the all star production team that helped create the song.
“Crystal delivers a catchy, upbeat love song with “Nowhere.” “Cause I’m nowhere, nowhere, nowhere without you,” she lovingly sings on the chorus to her man. She’s nowhere without him and wants to go everywhere – from her current home in the Bay to her hometown of H-Town – with him. Tamar lets her boo know that she’s down for him whenever, wherever and through whatever and in this thing for the long haul.”
“Nowhere” incorporates a variety of Crystal’s musical influences. The song came to fruition once super producer Cam Wallace (“Upgrade U” Beyonce) and BET Award-nominated songwriter Kaleena Harper (Diddy – Dirty Money) came aboard to execute her vision. “Nowhere” engages listeners with its urban/pop flair. The vibe is comparable to popular R&B acts like Sevyn Streeter or K. Michelle.
Soul Bounce adds, “As good as she sounds with her gospel-rooted vocals over Wallace’s hip-hop-leaning production, we’re sure her man isn’t going anywhere either.”
Crystal Tamar is forging her own path in the music industry since disbanding from the T-Pain discovered girl group Sophia Fresh in 2011. She soulfully depicts themes of love and commitment on “Nowhere” while re-establishing herself as a force within the Pop/R&B music scene. When asked about the single she says, “Nowhere” is a vibe! I could write a book about what this record means when I’m singing it. It embodies the sentiment I live by.”
