This month, Dance Gavin Dance frontman, Tilian (Pearson), released two brand new singles, “Cocky” and “Hold On.” Today, Tilian is pleased to unveil the accompanying music video to “Hold On,” which explores two different father-son dynamics within a family. Watch it HERE.

According to Tilian, “ ‘Hold On’ is about mutually surrendering yourself to another person. Sometimes even when you are close to someone, you put up barriers of isolation and duplicity that inevitably lead to you having to lie to yourself. An honest relationship with even just one person can be extremely fulfilling.”

“The music video for ‘Hold On’ uses imagery of the relationship between a father and son, spanning thirty years. Moments of intense pleasure juxtaposed by the fear and shock of loss will hopefully produce the emotional satisfaction of a streamlined, three-minute classical tragedy,” he adds.

Tilian’s third full-length effort, The Skepticis due for release on Friday, September 28th via Rise Records. Comprised of 10 tracks, including standout singles “Cocky” and “Hold On,” the album offers a blend of infectious pop-punk and indie-pop tracks. Fans can pre-order the record HERE.

Tilian is also currently on his North American headline tour, which hits Los Angeles tonight at The Roxy. The stint stops in major cities including Atlanta, Nashville, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, and Toronto, before concluding at Denver’s Marquis Theater on Sunday, September 23rd. Tickets and VIP packages can be purchased HERE, and a full list of dates is included below.
