Rock Yard at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino hosts great free concerts

Rock Yard announced another series of free concerts people can enjoy by visiting the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Coachella Valley. The series already gained some popularity with previous concerts and is largely recognized as a venue for great music by the fans. Most bands featured in the concert series are cover bands that perform popular songs by other artists for the audience. The fourth phase of the concert series which will kick off on August 18th features bands that cover the repertoire of AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Van Halen, Journey and others.

The dates for the face four of Rock Yard concert series (full list also available here):

August 18 – Springsteen Experience (Bruce Springsteen Tribute)

August 25 – Atomic Punks (Van Halen Tribute)

August 31 – Single Man (Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute)

September 1 – Bonfire (AC/DC Tribute)

September 8 – Mr. Crowley (Ozzy Tribute)

September 15 – Escape (Journey Tribute)

Most events will take place on Saturday, with a few Friday dates as well. There is an age limit on the events. One must be 18 or older to attend one of these concerts. All of the shows will be held outdoors, next to the Special Events Center and the casino. For those who are concerned about the heat of the desert, the event organizers have installed mist dispensers to keep the guests cool. Another specialty of the event that will help the concert-goers stay cool is the Fantasy Springs’ special summer drink – Drunken Snow Cones. The 5 dollar frozen cocktail features tequila and has a strawberry margarita flavor.

About Fantasy Springs Resort Casino

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino started out as the Indio Bingo Palace when it first opened in 1991. Four years later it became Fantasy Springs Casino. Throughout the years it underwent several renovations and expansions. In 2004, the casino spent $145 on a resort and 97,000 square foot conference center. A year and $200 million later the Fantasy Springs Hotel and Casino as we know of it today opened its doors to the visitors. Currently, the resort has 250 rooms. The casino features 2,000 slot machines and video poker and 40 tables.
