Australian alt-pop artist BOBI ANDONOV returns today with the first video from his upcoming “Stripped” series of acoustic live performances. Premiering on Ladygunn Magazine, the Andy Madeleine-directed clip sees BOBI deliver a captivating, intensely passionate performance of his latest single, “Faithful,” which is out now. Filmed earlier this year in Los Angeles, the video pans down onto BOBI, following him as he makes his way into a beautiful courtyard, joined by his guitarist. Against a minimalist backdrop, BOBI’s impressive vocals are front and center, the rising singer-songwriter oozing sexuality and confidence with every line he sings.
Speaking about the new video, BOBI explains, “we wanted to create something dreamy and sensual that would complement the song instead of doing something crazy. Andy Madeleine, the director, had the vision of creating more of a performance video than just a live video in a venue or studio.”

Described by L’Officiel Magazine as the “new dark and sexy anthem for the summer” “Faithful” represents yet another stunning example of BOBI ANDONOV’s artistry and his ability to infuse passionate fire into every lyric and note. Watch the electrically-charged Ellis-Bahl-directed video for “Faithful” HERE. Flawlessly produced by Nick Pingree, “Faithful” follows the releases of debut single “Apartment,” and its follow up “Smoke,” solidifying hisplace as an artist to watch in 2018. Equal parts soulful and soul-crushing, “Apartment” earned widespread praise from the likes of NYLON, who hailed the song as a “no-holds-barred bedroom anthem” and Billboard who called the song a “raunchy soul-shaker,” gushing over BOBI’s “powerhouse vocals and delicate falsetto.
In contrast to your typical pop singer’s sleek persona, BOBI’s is, rather mesmerizingly, obscured. “I found my identity through music I listened to,” he explains. Growing up in Melbourne (but now living in Los Angeles), the now 23 year-year-old gravitated towards artists such as Prince, INXS’ Michael Hutchence, George Michael and Terence Trent D’Arby, with deep understandings of how sexuality impacts those around them. “They all had charisma. You couldn’t help but look at them,” he says. “Musically, they were all so fucking sexy. None of these guys were scared to play with masculinity.” He’ll gamely attribute his omnipresent falsetto—which brings songs like “Apartment” to ecstatic heights—to Prince. “The way he makes his songs so poetic when he’s talking about sex,” he says, admiringly, “is just amazing.”
BOBI is currently working hard on releasing new music, but in the meantime we can all enjoy this incredibly soulful live performance of his latest masterpiece, “Faithful.” Watch it HERE.
