PREMIERE: Pompeya Release New Single “Do”

Wrapping up our premiere week, we are teaming up with Pompeya for the premiere of their new single “Do.” As you may have come to expect from this synthpop band, the song is plagued with references to the 80s to the point it feels like a song from that time.

Russian outfit Pompeya has been hard at work on their brand new album Dreamers slated for a Summer 2018 release. It’s the first album they’ve fully produced themselves. Dreamers shares their story & love for U.S culture, 80’s music and the dream of spreading their art in the west to the masses. Through their album, rather than keeping the production & lyrics clean-cut and ‘perfect’, they embrace their own process through raw story telling, funky drum n bass grooves & catchy ‘stuck in your head’ melodies that continue their trend of listeners constant dancing. Expect a good time, coming your way.

Summer 2017, Pompeya released a brand new EP titled Domino, a driving 4-track set of the band’s signature pop/funk coupled with the tastefully masterful production of French house producer Fred Falke. 2015 saw Pompeya’s release their most recent LP, Real, via Mishu Record, which was produced by Brian McTear (The War on Drugs, Local Natives). The LP is available now on limited edition vinyl, which comes with a digital download and two bonus tracks (remixes from Jerome LOL + Amtrac).

Pompeya is Daniil Brod (vocals), Denis Agafonov (bass), and Dmitri Vinnikov (percussion). Formed in 2010, their debut Tropical earned the band significant popularity in their home country, extensive touring followed in Eastern Europe. In 2013, Tropical was re-released in the U.S. through Mishu.
