INTERVIEW: Henley

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Centerline”?

Our latest single is called “Centerline” And is releasing this Friday, August 10th on all downloading/streaming platforms! We are so excited for everyone to hear it!

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

We wrote “Centerline” with our friend and co-writer Kenneth Duncan. Shea came in that day with a guitar part in his head and we went from there.  None of us had anything weighing heavily on our minds, so we just decided to write a feel good summer song, and we are super proud of how it turned out.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

We don’t have plans at the moment to release a video for “Centerline”, but things can always change.

How was the recording and writing process?

The recording process was a blast. We have been working closely with our guitar player Cody Smith on our latest recordings, and he is an AMAZING musician/producer/studio engineer, and he really puts the perfect touches on our songs.

What role does Georgia play in your music?

Being from Georgia we have always had country music around, and I think it helps us really LOVE what we do. We also both went to college in Texas, and we think that adds a little grit to what we do.

How your upbringing has influence your writing?

We grew up surrounded by music. Our grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles were all musicians, and it has really helped mold us as writers and performers. We are very thankful to have grown up with such great influences so close to us.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

We have plans of releasing another single by the end of the year! We already have it recorded, and we do plan on shooting a music video or it!

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

We plan on that song releasing by the end of the year no particular date in mind quite yet, and it’s called “Sell That Truck” .

Any plans to hit the road?

We have hit the road for the first time this summer. We’ve visited Iowa, and this weekend we will be playing in St. Louis and Chicago!

What else is happening next in Henley’s world?
