The name Benedict Cork has been circulating throughout the musical sphere lately, and the London-based singer/songwriter is proving consistent on his ambitions to churn out remarkable, tailor-made tracks. Ben’s latest works are being picked up by media around the globe, and his tracks ‘Ghost’ and ‘Mama Said’ were most recently discovered by Ben’s idol, Elton John, who featured Ben’s music on his very own radio show ‘Rocket Hour’ on Apple Beats 1.
“There’s this guy called Benedict Cork, he’s in his early 20s, he plays the piano and he sings, and this is live, and it’s just sensational! Benedict Cork – a name to look out for” – Elton John
The new track ‘Down For Forever’ is a magnificent concoction of creative storytelling and raw talent that seamlessly oozes out of Benedict Cork. Speaking on the story behind the track, Ben mentions that the song is “such a massive concept to me – the idea of committing to one person for the rest of your life is pretty huge. But I guess you have to go into a relationship believing that forever is what you’re both searching for. Down For Forever is about the promises you make to each other in the beginning, that are so sad to break when things fall apart. It was written around the same time as Mama Said and it was me trying to find a way to deal with the aftermath of a really sad break up in the summer of 2017.”
Already, Benedict has set his stamp on 2018, showing the world of music that he is here and he’s here to stay.
