STRANGE CAGES RETURN WITH NEW VIDEO, EP RELEASE ON VALLANCE RECORDS, AND ONE-OFF EXPERIENTIAL EVENT IN LONDON THIS AUGUST

The ever madcap Brighton trio Strange Cages make their return this August with a brand new video and track for ‘False Prophet Death Waltz’, alongside an experiential one-off event in London’s East End. Watch here

Another brilliantly hypnotically-charged slice of psych-rock from the trio, ‘False Prophet Death Waltz’ is also our first introduction to the Silver Queen, a fictional cult leader that the band’s forthcoming Silver Queen EP is based around, and set to follow on Vallance Records this September.

In honour of the Silver Queen, Strange Cages will also take over Gallery 46 in London’s East End this August 16th to curate a space based around the Silver Queen’s lair – a one-off event that promises to be the kind of experience only Strange Cages can pull off.

The band have already been making big strides in their short existence. Having followed up their Theo Verney produced debut ‘Desert’ with the single ‘Pony’, Strange Cages then went on to release their head-spinning EP ‘The Cracks’ last year, quickly gaining support from the likes of Clash MagazineNMEQ MagazineThe 405 and The Line of Best Fit, whilst tearing up stages in support of King Gizzard & The Lizard WizardNight Beats, and Boogarins.

Now the trio return with their best work yet, six expansive tracks that make up their Silver Queen EP, set for release this September. Combining elements of krautrock and post-punk with paranoid, schizophrenic vocals, Brighton has unearthed another gem in a city producing some of the most exciting acts in the UK right now.

Strange Cages release their ‘Silver Queen’ EP through Vallance Records on September 28th 2018, with a UK tour set to be announced shortly in support of the release. The band will also perform at and curate a special one-off event at London’s Gallery 46 on August 16th, full details here.
